About this workshop
In this workshop, you’ll explore different ways of transferring images and marks — from expressive mono-printing to simple block printing using found materials and natural textures. We’ll experiment with repetition, layering and surface, discovering how everyday objects — wood, leaves, card, carved shapes and print blocks — can create bold and surprising results. Inspired by glimpses of print traditions from around the world, we’ll use these ideas as a springboard for your own experiments, developing a small series of prints in a relaxed and supportive setting. This session works well as a standalone workshop, or as a natural next step after Learn to Draw and Paint — expanding your creative toolkit and building confidence through print. All materials are provided. No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to have a go. Practical details: Bodham Village Hall has its own parking, good disabled access (including accessible toilet facilities), and is a comfortable, welcoming space to work in. Tea and coffee are available at the venue. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch.
