Our Sheringham - Living Map Project
About this workshop
“Our Sheringham: A Living Map” is a series of relaxed, inclusive art sessions inspired by Sheringham and the surrounding coastline. Over time, participants work together to create a large, shared artwork using colour, texture, simple shapes and tactile materials. The focus is very much on enjoyment, social connection and shared experience, rather than individual finished pieces. The workshops are designed to be accessible and dementia-friendly, with table-based activities and plenty of flexibility to suit people with a wide range of abilities. Activities across the programme include painting, collage, printing, clay relief work, fabric and textile elements, and simple 3D making — all led by me as a qualified and experienced art teacher, with a strong emphasis on participation and wellbeing. These workshops will run in blocks of 2-3 sessions throughout 2026 and are specifically designed for clients of Sheringham Day Services - previously Sheringham Age Concern. They can be enjoyed as a 'one off' creative session, or the whole program. If you, or someone you know is interested, please do message Jennie or contact SDS directly for availability. https://www.sheringhamdayservices.co.uk/care-at-home
